They were consequently arrested, brought up on charges and prosecuted in a trial that ended up being nothing short of a circus.
Though constantly clowning around and continuing their pranks throughout the litigation, the defendants were deadly serious in their quest for social consciousness and political reform as they protested against what they believed was an unjust war in Vietnam. No less determined to restrain their antics was Judge Julilus Hoffman, thereby providing the ideal conflict that makes good theater.
Adding original songs, whose lyrics are included in this digital edition of the musical to augment the hilarity, Conspiracy will continually not only amuse, but also will astound the reader that such a travesty of courtroom proceedings ever took place in this country under the auspices of our criminal justice system.
